St. Martin (Mar 10)
Unlike most trips, I decided to take it easy with the photos in St. Martin and only bring one camera/lens. It worked out well because there wasn't too much to shoot (much like Grand Cayman). That said, there were some great opportunities to shoot planes blasting people on the beach and some funny signs. I didn't shoot any of the nude beaches, which was a good thing. On TV, these places all have "good naked". In real life, there was more "bad naked" than good (with an exception one day)...
As for the planes, the beach is literally right behind the runway - you could throw a rock and hit a plane. Right before takeoff, they power-up their engines and the jet blast blows people over. I saw a bunch of people get blown off their feet and into the water. Didn't seem like something I wanted to try...
Enjoy this short gallery from St. Martin.
