Hong Kong's Umbrella Movement (Oct 14)
I "accidentally" stumbled into the Democracy Protests in Hong Kong during a trip. I decided to go back the 2nd night too.
The protest was more like a sit-in, with protesters occupying a major highway running through the city. It was quite peaceful and there were virtually no cops in sight.
The "Umbrella" Movement is a nod to a protester that used an umbrella to protest himself against the pepper spray used by police.
I put the signs at the end of the gallery, but there were too many to post.
Note: Generally speaking, the protesters were under-age, so they asked that we don't take photos of their faces. There was even a huge tent where students could go study. Very cool.
