Del the Funky Homosapien (May 16)
I finally made it to Reggie's! I was excited to see Del the Funky Homosapien in CHI after taking photos 6-7 years ago at the Abbey. Back then, I hadn't done a lot of shows and my gear had gaps. Now I was ready. He did a great job with a fun set. The crowd was into it from beginning to end and he acted like the veteran he is. He didn't dis the crowd and actually just had fun with everyone throughout the set. HIs curtain call was great too. Props to Del. Hopefully, he's happy with this set.
The openers were Sean Anonymous and DJ Shiftee. Sean was nice and did his job as the opener. He got the crowd warmed up and brought energy to the stage. People didn't know his music, but he was gracious and had fun up there. Well done. DJ Shiftee did a 45 min set that was fire. He was making beats and mixing tracks live. It was really impressive and I ended up shooting a lot of video. I look forward to seeing him again soon.
