Red Bull BC One - CHI (Jun 14)

Red Bull put down another great BC One Chicago event in Jun '14. The venue was Chicago's Union Station, which allowed several unsuspecting travelers to see a battle for the first time. In the end, MN Joe took the title with a great array of power and finesse. Thanks again to Red Bull for giving me access.

The new surprise for me was BBoy Data from Colorado. I hadn’t seen him before and we was outstanding. Lots of videos from @TckProInc are out there. You should check them out. My biggest disappointment? That JFunky ran into the eventual champ, MN Joe, in Round 1. The crowd deserved to see J do more. He had a great round, but Joe was nuts. Mijo got through a few rounds, but ran into Data in the semis. Mijo hit his signature moves, but it was cool to see some new tricks (at least, new to me). He just keeps getting better. Dehydration Nation BBoys Onyx and Lil Ivan had good rounds, but came up short. Frankly, all of the BBoys were really great, but it’s the BC One and only one could advance.
