Trephination w/Dr. Pembroke (Oct 17)
When I first asked Dr. Permbroke what he did when he performed, he told me: "Medical theater". I admit, my first reaction was: What the hell is that? My second reaction: I've got to go take photos of a performance.
True to his word, he reached out to let me know that he was performing at the International Museum of Surgical Science in Chicago.
He gave a good sized crowd a lecture on the history of Trephination. After the talk, some poor soul found her way into the operating room and Dr. Pembroke put his expertise to good use. It was quite an impressive demonstration and i hope to witness another surgery soon!
