Carnivolution - Squidling Bros (Oct 17)
I had a free night before the Silverback Open and reached out to Mackenzie Moltov to see "what's good" in Philly on a Friday night. Ironically, I met her shooting an event on this same Friday night before the SBO last year.
Carnivolution was quite a show. I had never been to a sideshow at a private venue before, where the normal rules don't apply. That meant a little additional editing on my end to comply with my site host's rules (smile). [ Side note: I've seen a lot of mods before, but I never a genital magnet. I'm sure it comes in handy though.]
About the show... They had quite a crowd and a perfect night for an outdoor show. This was the last installment in a multi-part series, but I'm not sure you needed to see the other ones to enjoy the show. In fact, I'm pretty sure it didn't matter! I enjoyed the show and the crowd was fun and energetic, without being obnoxious (which can sometimes be the case). I also learned a few things:
* You can be a puppeteer with any size puppet
* A "Squicken" (A humanoid Squid + Chicken combo) is a real thing
* Fibi can swallow all type of swords
* Lunchbox can eat just about anything if you give him Chocolate syrup. #StomachOfSteel
* Fire can be fun
* For $100, some people will let strangers staple them in places that would make many people wince
Most importantly, people are people, and if you come to have fun, you can find it at a Squidling show.
I look forward to catching another one some day.
Enjoy the pixs
