Great Migration (Jul 16)
Every time I've seen the Great Migration on TV, I was mesmerized. I finally got to see it in person! It deserved it's own gallery, so here you go.
We saw a massive crossing, but there were clearly better days to see it coming. We passed thousands and thousands of wildebeests on the drive to the Mara river. We did see 3 crossings, including one big one.
We did see how hard it can be too. We saw a little wildebeest give us fighting the current and just drown. We saw vultures eating the ones that died on the journey. We even saw two wildebeests struggling to get on a rock, but get attacked by a crocodile (photos in here). The battle was quick - the croc snuck up and puled one under. We never saw it again. Lots to see.
