Of course, despite a fairly tame message on his sign, the back of this guy's shirt used "the stick" to bring people to Jesus.  Yeah, that'll get a whole bunch of people.
Like every event that will have crowds, you'll see people with something on their minds to share (PETA was there, and well behaved...)
After the inauguration, Barack and Michelle walked home.  I mean "Had a parade".  It made it hard for everyone to get work done for a while - including the front desk at our hotel.

Despite the wall of buses, people were still happy because of what they had just seen.
The buses along Constitution Ave were used as mobile walls to divert traffic around the parade.  They were vrey aggressive at not letting people cut between and would lurch forward as people tried - which nearly crushed at least 2-3 people while I stood there for 10 mins watching the spectacle.
