Party of 10 (Mar 10) : March 6, 2010 @ Alternatives BBoy Check-it hosted "Party of 10". After taking about 700 photos, I got it down to a smaller number of favorites. Thanks to everyone for your willingness to make room for "the guy with the camera". No photoshop filters and stuff this go 'round b/c I didn't have the time (or the inspiration). The theme for this gallery was "Remove the bystanders, let the BBoys have the spotlight". SubT: People Under the Stairs (Feb 10) : February 2010, I finally got to see People Under the Stairs (PUTS). I went a month ago, but they had moved the show and I walked into some lame band's set. Luckily, I got my $$$ back. Anyway, LA's own PUTS put on a good show. The duo had the crowd packed and jumping for the whole set. Too bad so many people felt the need to get blunted during the show... They got tossed, but that ish is not needed.... Here are m favorite photos. Sorry to Big Pooh and Earatik Statik. I missed good shots of both of you.

Venice Beach by Day (Jan 10) : Another week-long meeting = another afternoon of shooting. This time, Venice Beach. It wasn't SFO, but people were laid back and didn't mind a photog hanging out with them for a bit. Coming "inside the fence" to shoot a paddle-tennis game, sitting on the "front wall" during a handball game, and getting up close to skaters was all good with people. I didn't get run over by a skateboarder, but I did get hit with a handball during the game. Sometimes you have to take some risks to get the shot most people don't get... Enjoy...
