Wildlife > KBev  > Animals > Galapagos Islands/ Ecuador (Jun 09)
Normally, I try to keep the size of my galleries to 2-3 screens of photos max (45 or less). After 6 days in the Galapagos, it was clear that was just not going to happen. Here is a fairly large set of my favorite photos from the trip. The best ones are on the first page. After that, they are all shots that I felt "made the cut"... These are 100 of the 1000 that I took during the trip. Enjoy.

KBev > If you look closely, you can see the bunch of black "baby" crabs hidden among the red ones at the top.
KBev > Sally lightfoot crab
KBev > I thought this was another patch of volcanic rock, then I realized there were dozens of Marina Iguanas sunbathing...
KBev > Mean-looking
KBev > One of these two lizards was hanging out on the big iguana (tail in the photo). When the other lizard came, then got into a bit of a lizard-face off... After some serious head-bobbing at each other from this distance, they both ran off. What the heck does that mean?
KBev > I took this photo, then kept moving.
KBev > Striking a pose for me...
KBev > This looks romantic at first, but marine iguanas actually snort out a mix of salt water from the front of their faces. It looks like they are blowing snot all over the place. These two were sitting face-to-face, then the one on the left spat all over the one on the right. (notice the moisture?)
KBev > I couldn't tell why the guy on the bottom wasn't more upset the other one was poking him in the eye
